Bone graft to the residual alveolar-palatal clefts has been considered to be most helpful to close the oronasal fistlua and to restore the collapsed dental arch. Autogenous iliac bone and freeze - dried bone with or without Hydrxylapatite have been used widely, but recently there are some trials to use the mandibular symphysis as a donor site. This is to report 2 cases of residual alveolar clefts treated with autogenous bone grafts taken from mandibular symphysis. The recipient beds showed successful ossification with relatively less resorption and the donor sites were refilled with new bone within 6 months completely without leaving any complications.
