2015 개정 미술과 교육과정의 ‘미술 문화 이해 능력’ 함양을 위한 지도 사례 연구

A Case Study on Approach to ‘Art Cultural Understanding Capability’ in 2015 Renewed National Art Curriculum

본 연구는 2015 개정 미술과 교육과정에서 강조된 ‘미술 문화 이해 능력’의 교육적 실천을 위한 이론적 기초와 교육 방안을 탐색한 것이다. ‘미술 문화 이해 능력’의 개념과 교육과정에의 대두 배경, 필요성 등을 문헌 연구를 통해 고찰하고, ‘고양이를 부탁해’라는 주제의 실천적 사례를 통해 교육 방안과 의미를 탐구하였다. 문화의 속성에 근거할 때 미술 문화 이해 능력 함양을 위한 미술 수업의 핵심은 학습자 삶의 문화적 경험과 쟁점을 작품 및 시각 문화와 같은 미술 문화에 잠재된 이야기와 연결 지어 소통하며 대화하기, 여기서 통찰한 공감적 이해를 바탕으로 자신의 생각과 의미를 담은 미술 문화를 생성하기, 이를 다시 실제적 삶으로 가져와 실천적 지식과 문화적 실천으로 작동하게 하는 문화적 순환 과정과 맥락을 경험하게 하는 데 있다. 이 관점에 기초하여 연구자는 ‘고양이를 부탁해’라는 주제로 미술 문화 이해 능력에 중심을 둔 초등학교 수업 사례를 실천하였다. 본 사례에서 학습자는 삶과 배움의 연결, 문화 다양성 이해, 지각-이성-감성 경험을 종합한 문화적 사고력 신장, 학습자 자신의 발견과 자발적인사회 참여의 결과를 보여주었다. 미술 문화의 이해 능력은 미술 문화를 지식이 아닌 삶의 문화 과정으로 경험할 때 학습자 역량으로 전이되며 학습자는 자기 삶의 문화를 비판적으로 성찰하고 창조하는 주체로 자리매김할 수 있다.

The purpose of this study is to explore the theoretical basis and pedagogic approaches about art cultural understanding capability which is emphasized as one of the important competencies in 2015 renewed national art curriculum. To do this, This study examine the concept of the competence of art cultural understanding capability, backgrounds, necessity in national art curriculum through review of literature. Also the researcher suggests the practical methods in elementary school through case study. The subject of the program used as a case study is ‘Cats in Arts’, which was derived from the lives of participants. The results of the case study are as follows: the connection between their life and learning, the understanding of diverse cultural point of view, the enhancement of cultural thinking ability combined with the perceptual - rational - emotional experience and the voluntary participation in real social community. Based on this results, the researcher suggests that art cultural understanding capability can be realized as a true learner s competence when they experience arts and culture in terms of cultural process of life rather than cultural knowledge.
