This is a case report that deals with early condylar remodeling after both condylar fractures. Patient, 9-year-old boy, was referred to our department from other hospital for the further management of the traumatic injuries on the which was developed by fall-down last day. On the basis of clinical and radiographic examinations, he was diagnosed as symphysis and both mandibular condyles fractures and multiple teeth injuries. Arch bar applications for intermaxillary fixation was performed under general anesthesia. Intermaxillary fixation was maintained for 2 weeks and early movement of jaw was carried out. Patient was examined periodically for the evaluation of temporomandibular joint function and condylar remodeling process, and partial denture for space maintenance on the lower right premolar area was made and inserted. On the third week after functional movement of jaw, displaced condylar fragments were slightly resorbed, and remarkable callus formation around fractured fragments was observed. On the stxth week after functional movement of jaw, the fragments of condylar heads almost resorbed and the articular surfaces of condyle were remodeled considerably. On the sixth month after functional movement of jaw, the complete resorption of condylar fragments and remodeling of condyle were observed. Patient has no complaints up to now.
