본 연구는 장애 성인 대상 교육적 중재 연구의 국내 동향을 파악하고 연구에 적용된 중재 특성을 고찰함으로써 장애 성인 대상 평생교육 프로그램 및 교수전략 개발에 기여하기 위하여 실시되었다. 이를 위해 2016년까지 장애 성인을 대상으로 실행된 교육적 중재 연구 총 71편을 선정하였고 크게 개괄적 연구 동향과 중재 특성을 분석하였다. 1) 개괄적인 연구 동향은 발표연도, 학술지 연구분야, 연구방법, 평생교육 관련 주제, 연구참여자 특성에 대해 분석하였고 2) 적용된 중재 특성은 프로그램 유형 및 중재효과 측정 영역, 교수환경, 교수방법, 교수제공자에 대해 분석하였다. 분석 결과 국내 장애 성인 대상 교육 적 중재 연구는 조금씩 증가하는 추세로 교육학, 사회복지학, 예술체육 분야, 재활 관련 학술지 등에서 발표되고 있었고 단일대상연구가 많았다. 평생교육 관련 주제의 경우 직업능력향상교육 연구가 가장 많았으나 문화예술교육, 기초문해교육, 인문교양교육과 관련된 연구들도 발표되었다. 연구참여자는 20대 지적장애인을 대상으로 한 연구가 많았다. 중재 특성을 살펴보면 프로그램 유형은 직업준비프로그램과 레저생활스포츠프로그램이 많았고 중재효과 측정 영역은 생활, 직무, 여가, 학업 등의 기능적 요소를 측정한 경우가 많았다. 또한 주거, 교육, 고용, 지역사회, 장애관련 지원환경 등 다양한 환경에서 연구자가 개발한 교육과정형 프로그램을 적용한 경우가 많았고 연구진들이 직접 중재를 실시한 연구가 많았다. 논의에서는 장애 성인 대상 교육적 중재 연구에 대한 본 연구의 분석 결과들이 장애 성인 평생교육 프로그램 개발 연구 활성화와 평생교육 프로그램 실행에 시사하는 바와 향후 과제를 제시하였다.
The purpose of this article was to analyze trends of the research regarding educational interventions for adults with disabilities and review implementation methods of the interventions in the studies. Seventy-one domestic studies were examined in relation to publication year, research field, research method and design, lifelong education topic, participant characteristic, program type, dependent variables, intervention setting, teaching strategy, and intervention agent. The results indicate an increasing trend of research implementing educational intervention for adults with disabilities. Primarily, there have been many studies on vocational education for adults with intellectual disabilities in their 20s or younger. In the majority of studies, researchers mediated through package programs in residential environments, educational environments, employment environments, communities, and support agencies for people with disabilities. To conclude, future research should focus on developing methodology for quality improvement of lifelong education and supporting the role of intervention agents.
