The managements of oral pyogenic infections are the incision and drainage and the medication of a suitable antibiotics. The proper selection of antibiotics often depends on cultures and antibiotic susceptibility tests. Bacteriologic study of one hundred and thirty eight out-patients with oral pyogenic infection revealed that the Gram positive facultative cocci (50.4%) was the most common strain. The number of anaerobic organisms was fifty-one (21.3%) among two hundred forty isolative organisms. There were seventy nine cases (61.7%) including two or three or four microorganisms. In antibiotic susceptibility test, the most susceptible antibiotic was cephalothin (90.8%) and the most resistent antibiotic was kanamycin(15.4%).
