We had studied on the 36 cases of head and neck malignant tumor which visited Dept. of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, College of Dentistry, Chon Buk National University from Jan. 1984 to Sep. 1987. The Study method was according to histopathological classification and from a statistical to sex, age, chief complaint, location, stage, and treatment method choice. The obtained results were as follows: 1. Oral cancer was most common between age of 51 and 60 years old and the average age of oral cancer was 55.08. 2. Sexual incidence in oral cancer was 88.9% in male and 11.1% in female. 3. Most frequently chief complaint was pain (52.8%). 4. Squamous cell carcinoma was the most common oral cancer (77.8%). 5. The predominant location of oral cancer was gingiva (29%). 6. The most common stage in TNM classification method was stage Ⅳ (61.1%). 7. Treatment was performed mostly by combination therapy of the chemotherapy and surgical treatment.
