AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON THE EFFECT OF THE BONE DEPOSITION ON EXTRACTED WOUND HEALING

The purpose of this study was to observe the bone deposition mechanism on the extraction wound histopathologically and fluorescene microscopically. For this study 12 mongeral dogs, weighing 10㎏ or more were anesthesized under ketamin hydrochloride injection, 50-100㎎/㎏ body weight, and extracted lower 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th bicuspid on both quardrants. On the 1st, 2nd, 5th week, oxytetracycling 20㎎/㎏ of body weight, and on the 3rd, 4th week, calcein soulution (4-methylumbelliferone-methyleneimino-diacetic acid) 8㎎/㎏ of body weight were injected injected intraperitonally once a day for two days respectively. At each week. the experimental animals were sacrificed, fixed in 10% normal formalin soulution, decalicified in Planko-Richlo solution, embeded in paraffin and sectioned in 6-8μ in thickness. All the specimens were stained with the various method of stain which are hematoxylin-eosin, Masson trichrome and Von Kossa s. For flurescene microscopic study all the specimens was embedded in resin, cutted in 3㎜ thickness or more, grinded in 40μ thickness and examined under fluorescenem microscope. results were as follows: 1. It is noticed that epithelium of extracted wound was grown and fused on the 1st week and papilla, epithelial peg was formed completely on the 2nd week. 2. It is noticed that newly formed bone trabeculae and osteoid tissue were appeard at the periphery of extracted socket on the 1st week. 3. It is noticed that new bone trabeculae was matured and have osteons on the 4th week. 4. It is noticed that bone deposite appearances of new bone trabeculae show similar reaction to normal remaining bone on Von Kossa stain on the 3rd and 4th week. 5. Tetracycline and calcein have affinity to Haversian canal and accumulated at the periphery of extracted socket as eccentric circle or band shape on the 3rd week. 6. On the 1st week and 2nd week it is noticed tetracycline and calcein were deposited minimal does on extracted wound as plenty of dot shape.
