This is to report a case of myxoma which occured in the Lt. maxillary alveolar bone. It is a very rare case and the result after operation seems to be fair, therefore we report as follows: 1. The pt., a 57 years-old female, had been suffering from tenderness of displaced teeth (4.5.7) and facial disfigurement due to hard swelling of maxillary alveolar bone for 2 years. 2. Histopathologic findings were: 1) the mucoid mass was composed of abundant loose stellate cells and peripheral bone spicules. 2) the subepithelial tissue and periglandular tissue revealed mononuclear infiltration. 3) the mucous membrane which removed from Lt. antrum showed columnar epithelium with superficial necrosis. 3. Roentgenographic findings were: 1) standard dental film showed multi-radiolucent cystic lesion with radiopaque septa between the mesial side of the Lt. upper canine and the mesial side of the Lt. upper first molar. 2) occlusal view showed radiolucent area which seperated by obscure radiopaque septa at the Lt. upper first molar. 3) Water s view showed slight mucoperiosteal thickening within Lt. maxillary antrum and no definite bony destruction except osteoporotic change. 4. After clinical evaluation, excision of the mass with extraction of involved teeth and Caldwell-Luc s operation was done. 5. After the operation, we obtained good resuls.
