가토 하악골에 이식한 Durapatite의 조직학 및 주사전자현미경적 연구

Hydroxylapatite is main composition of human bone, enamel and dentine. Implantation of hydroxylapatite in bone, showed mild inflammatory reaction and no foreign body reaction. Hydroxylapatite graft showed direct, tight bonding between bone and it stimulated new bone formation. The purpose of this study was to observe affinity of hydroxylapatite and acrylic resin to bone. In this study sixteen rabbits were used as random sample. As experimental side, Durapatite were implanted on the left mandible of the rabbits and acrylic resin were on the right mandible as the control side. The rabbits were sacrificed serially at the interval of 1, 2, 4 and 8 weeks, and mandibles were removed. For the light microscopic study, the specimen were decalcified, embedded, sectioned and stained routinely. For the scanning electron microscopic observation, the specimen were pre and post fixed, dehydrated, dried and coated with gold-palladium routinely. Following results were obtained after the examination and comparison of 2 groups. 1. In 1 week group, Durapatite groups showed mild inflammatory reaction, no foreign body reaction and partially osteoid tissue formation. 2. In 2 weeks group, Durapatite groups appeared well formed bony trabecullated osteoid tissue and yet no foreign body reaction. 3. In 4 weeks groups, Durapatite groups appeared bony lamellation whereas acrylic resin showed no bony lamellation. 4. In 8 weeks group, all of Durapatite were directly bonded with new bone which was matured with lamellation whereas acrylic resin groups showed immature bone formation without lamellation. 5. In electron microscopic examination, Durapatite particles were directly bonded with new bone and it was not able to differentiate from new bone. 6. In electron microscopic examination, acrylic resin groups showed fibrous connective tissue layer between resin block and new bone formation but there was no direct bonding with bone.
