There are various bone grafting techniques to restore the maxillary and mandibular defects. As the complications of the bone graft, pathologic fracture, nonunion and infection occasionally develop. The new techniques were developed with the use of fresh autogenous particulate bone and marrow to overcome the problems inherent in the solid autogenous graft. These are grafts of autogenous marrow and cancellous bone (fresh or frozen marrow), autogenous marrow with surface decalcified allogeneic bone, fresh autogenous marrow with calcified matrix (autogenous or homogenous). In this report of a case, a small cyst was enucleated and the autogenous marrow with cancellous bone was grafted. The graft showed a favorable result with uneventful healing process. This case report presents an example of clinical application of the marrow-cancellous bone graft technique, and this technique can also be utilized in other repair of osseous jaw defects.
