교육대학원 체육교육전공 학생들의 진로고민과 중도탈락에 대한 갈등요인 탐색

Exploration of career concerns and conflict factor in dropping out of physical education graduate school students

본 연구는 교육대학원에 진학한 체육교육전공 학생들을 대상으로 그들의 대학원생활 중에 겪게 되는 진로고민과 중도탈락에 대한 갈등요인이 무엇인지를 심층적으로 탐색해 보고자 하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 이를 위해 2차에 거친 연구가 진행되었다. 1차 연구는 교육대학원에 진학한 체육교육전공 학생들 중, 48명의 연구 참여자를 대상으로 한 반구조화 된 질문지 연구로 학생의 일반적 배경을 기준으로 진로고민과 중도탈락 갈등여부 등을 조사하였다. 2차 연구는 1차를 통해 수집되고 분석된 자료를 바탕으로 참여자 3명을 재선정하여 심층면담을 실시, 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 내용분석(content analysis) 및 해석적 범주 분석방법(interpretational analysis)에 의해 분석되고 범주화되었으며, 범주화된 결과를 제시하면 다음과 같다. 크게 학생유형별 갈등요인과 심층적 갈등요인, 두 가지로 범주화하였으며, 학생유형별 갈등요인으로는 운동선수를 현재 중단하였거나 운동선수 경험이 없는 학생들에 비해 현재는 활동하고 있지 않지만 과거에는 선수경력이 있는, 그리고 현재까지 선수로 활동하고 있는 학생들의 경우, 진로고민과 중도탈락에 대한 갈등을 많이 겪고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 심층적으로 분석한 갈등요인으로 교사라는 직업적성에 대한 고민 , 다른 직업에 대한 외면 , 투자효율성에 대한 제고 로 범주화 할 수 있었다. 이를 통해 교육대학원에 진학한 체육교육전공 학생들의 중도탈락 및 진로고민에 대한 행정적, 재정적, 정서적 대안을 논의하였으며 향후 교육대학원 체육교육전공학생들의 인식변화에 따른 질적 변화를 제언하였다.

The purpose of this study is to explore in depth about the career concerns and conflict factor in dropping out of physical education graduate school students course. For this exploration, the research was performed in two phases. The first phase was targeted at 48 participants out of the students who majored in physical education and went on to the graduate school of physical education. The investigation was performed by semi-structured questionnaire to find out if there is conflict in dropping out and career concerns under students general background. The second phase research was collected by choosing 3 participants through in-depth interview based on the data which had been collected and analyzes in the first phase research. The collected data was categorized by the content analysis and interpretational analysis. The categorized result is presented as below; the students who were past and present athletes go through more conflict over dropping out and career concerns than suspended athletes or those who never acted as athletes. The result of in-depth examination of the reason for the career concerns and conflict over dropping out is categorizes to concerns about vocational aptitude as teachers and exclusion of other occupations for the career concerns factor. consideration of investment efficiency and transfer of core value are categorized as the factor of dropping out. Through this research, the administrative, financial and emotional alternative about career concerns and dropping out of physical education graduate school students is discussed and the further qualitative changes through change of attitude of hysical education graduate school students is presented.
