The ameloblastoma is true neoplasm of enamel organ type tissue which does not undergo differentiation to the point of enamel formation. It usually occurs between the ages of 20 and 50 years. About 80% occur in the mandible, and the remainder in the maxilla. In both the mandible and the maxilla the majority (80%)are located in the molar and a few (10% to 20%) in the premolar area. Only rarely is the anterior portion of the jaws involved. The tumor is slow growing, the average duration before treatment being five to eight years. The author had operated a patient, 22-year-old male with ameloblastoma from left 1st premolar to right 1 st premolar involved median portion in the mandible. Under the general anesthesia, the block excision was performed with removal of surrounding sound bone, combining with the cauterization by Bovie and Phenol, remaining of the mandible border. By follow up check of the patient, we obtained of good results without recurrence.
