上顎 後臼齒 分切骨切斷術에 의한 齒槽骨矯正 1例

This is to report a case of surgical correction of the extruded alveolar segment by the posterior maxillary segmental osteotomy. The 38 yr-old housewife who had sufferred from masticatory discomfort due to occlusal interference between the extruded upper molars and remained lower premolars was treated by surgical recreating of the denture space. The procedures and results were as follows; 1. The posterior maxillary segmental osteptomy was performed to get upward repositioning of the upper molars, under the local anesthesia at our O.P.D. via 2-stage operation. 2. The osteotomy was preceded by palatal flap approach, and 3 weeks later the surgical repositioning was completed by buccal bony cut. 3. The replaced segment was immobilized by the circumdetal wiring using the palatal resin splint for 6 weeks. 4. Denture space was created to Smm in height at the last molar area.. 5. After the 6 months later the segment was stabilized in correct position preserving the vitality of the involved teeth. 6. In post-op. 2 months, prosthodontic restoration (lower partial denture) could be done without any difficulty.
