장해를 가진 산업재해근로자의 경제활동과 사회경제적 지위상태의 변화가 생활만족도에 미치는 영향

Effects of Status Change of Economic Activity and Socio-economic Position on Life Satisfaction of Injured Workers with Disabilities

본 연구는 산업재해로 인해 장해를 가진 산업재해근로자들의 경제활동과 사회경제적 지위의 상태변화 가 그들의 생활만족도에 어떠한 영향이 있는지를 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 근로복지공단 에서 구축한 제1차에서 제3차 산업재해패널조사자료(PSWCI)를 활용하였으며, 산재요양 이후 현재 취업 상 태에 있는 산업재해근로자 1,030명을 대상으로 분석을 수행하였다. 방법론적으로 SPSS를 활용하여 경제활 동과 사회경제적 지위의 상태변화가 그들의 생활만족도에 어떠한 영향이 있는지를 살펴보았다. 분석결과, 첫째, 미취업에서 원직장 복귀로 전환된 경우만이 생활만족도를 향상시키는 요인으로 나타났다. 반면, 미 취업에서 재취업으로 전환된 경우와 원직장 복귀에서 재취업으로 전환된 경우에는 생활만족도에 영향을 미치지 않았다. 둘째, 사회경제적 지위는 하층에서 중층 이상으로 변화된 경우와 중층 이상을 지속적으로 유지한 경우가 생활만족도를 향상시키는 요인으로 나타났다. 반면, 중층 이상에서 하층으로 변화된 경우는 생활만족도를 낮추는 결과를 보였다. 이와 같은 연구결과를 토대로, 그들의 생활만족도를 향상시킬 수 있도록 하는 몇 가지 제언을 하였다.

The objective of this study was to examine the influence of status change of economic activity and socio-economic position on life satisfaction of injured workers with disabilities. For this study, data were drawn from the 1st to 3rd wave panel data provided at Korea Workers’ Compensation and Welfare Service. It included 1,030 workers. Methodologically, SPSS was performed to verify the influence of status change of economic activity and socio-economic position on life satisfaction. The result was as follows. (1) It was positively effected on life satisfaction in case of changing from non employment to the case of having returned to their original workplace. On the other hand, it was not effected on life satisfaction in case of changing from non employment to re-employment or changing from having returned to their original workplace to re-employment. (2) Socio-economic position was positively effected on life satisfaction in case of being maintained continuously or changing from low-level position to mid-level or more position. On the other hand, it was negatively effected on life satisfaction in case of changing from mid-level or more position to low-level position. Based on the results, it was proposed to improve life satisfaction of injured workers with disabilities.
