도박에 대한 대학생의 주관적 인식유형에 따른 사례관리 방안

A Study on the Case Management Plan According to Subjective Perception Types of University Students on Gambling

도박중독은 미시적으로는 실직, 개인파산, 가정파탄을 가져오고, 거시적으로는 탈세와 지하경제 양산, 단 속과 치유비용 발생 등 국민경제 전체에 막대한 사회적 비용을 일으킨다. 반면 국가에서 시행하는 합법적 인 사행산업은 일자리 창출, 복지기금 마련, 지방세 확충 등의 긍정적 측면도 있다. 이와 같이 도박에 대한 인식은 다양하다. 본 연구는 대학생이 도박에 대하여 어떠한 태도를 보이는가를 유형화함으로써 도박중독 예방을 위한 함의를 찾는 탐색적 연구이다. 도박에 대한 대학생들의 인식 유형을 분석한 결과, 각기 독특한 특성을 가진 4개의 유형이 나타났다. 제1유형은 ‘부정적 반감 및 온정적 원조형’으로 도박에 대해서는 부정 적 생각을 갖고 있지만, 도박중독자에게는 온정적인 시각을 갖고 있는 유형이다. 제2유형은 ‘사교적 유희 및 비합리적 신념형’으로 도박에 대해 긍정적 태도를 가지고, 도박을 일종의 여가활동으로 보고 있다. 제3 유형은 ‘윤리적 심판 및 개인적 책임형’으로 도박을 윤리적으로 잘못된 행위로 보고 있으며, 따라서 도박중 독자 및 불법도박사이트 운영자를 처벌해야 한다고 본다. 제4유형은 ‘정책적 규제 및 사회적 책임형’으로 도박문제를 개인의 문제가 아닌 사회적 문제로 보고 있으며, 국가가 사행산업을 운영하는 것에 대해 반대 한다.

Gambling addiction brings unemployment, personal bankruptcy and family breakdown microscopically, generating a huge amount of social costs to the entire national economy such as mass production of tax evasion and underground economy, costs for crackdown and healing in the macroscopic aspect. On the contrary to the foregoing, legitimate speculation businesses operated by the state have a positive aspect such as job creation, preparation of welfare fund, expansion of local taxes etc. As such, perceptions toward gambling are varied. This study is an exploratory study that searches for implications for prevention of gambling addiction by stereotyping university students’ attitude toward gambling. The purpose of this study is to understand how university students think of gambling, and discover the type. As a result of analyzing types of university students’ perception toward gambling, four different types with unique characteristic were generated. The type 1 is the ‘actively opposing & kindly supportive type’ which is the type with negative perceptions toward gambling and think that we should not even begin gambling. The type 2 is the ‘socially playing & irrational belief type’ with a positive attitude toward gambling, considering gambling a sort of leisure activities. The type 3 is the ‘ethically judging & personal responsible type’, which considers gambling an ethically wrongdoing, thinking that we should punish addictive gamblers and illegal gambling site operators. The type 4 is the ‘politically controlling & social responsible type’, which regards the problem of gambling as a social problem, not as a personal matter, being opposed to the state’s operation of speculation businesses.
