경인지역 초등학생의 교과에 대한 태도

Elementary student attitudes about subject matters in Kyeongki and Inchon

본 연구는 경인지역 30개교 1,087명의 3, 4, 5, 6학년 초등학생의 교과에 대한 태도를 조사 분석한 것이다. 성, 학년, 학급규모, 학교규모의 변인과 함께 가장 좋아하는 교과, 가장 싫어하는 교과, 가장 쉬운 교과, 가장 어려운 교과, 가장 중요한 교과, 가장 중요하지 않은 교과가 무엇인지 질문하였다. 설문지는 SPSS를 사용하여 교차분석하였고, 중요한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째 초등학생들은 예ㆍ체능 교과를 좋아하고, 사회와 수학을 가장 싫어하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째 가장 어려운 교과는 사회와 수학이며 가장 쉬운 교과는 체육과 수학으로 나타났다. 수학의 경우 쉬운 학생도 많고, 어려운 학생도 많은 수학 교과의 독특한 특성을 잘 보여주었다. 셋째 수학이 가장 중요한 교과로 나타났으며, 특히 고학년으로 갈수록 응답비율이 높아졌다.

The purpose of this study was to survey the pupils attitudes about primary elementary subject matters. 1,087 forth-sixth grade pupils from 30 classrooms were questioned to explore their attitudes about all subject matters in elementary school. The questionnaire included pupil s sex, grade, class size, school size, and attitudes in view of the interest, difficulty, and importance of all school subject. The result of this study can be summarized as follows : - Pupils like Physical Education, Music, Fine art, Mathematics but dislike Social Studies, Mathematics, English, Science. - Pupils consider Social Studies and Mathematics as difficult subject, but Physical Education and Mathematics easy. - Pupils think Mathematics is the most important subject.
