CPTED와 범죄 두려움에 대한 아동들의 인식 연구

A Study on Perceptions of CPTED and Fear of Crime in Children - Focused on Urban Regeneration District-

이 연구는 도시재생 지역에 거주하는 아동들의 CPTED와 범죄 두려움에 대한 인식을 규명하여, 이를 통해 향후 CPTED의 활성화와 범죄 두려움을 감소시킬 방 안을 모색하는데 기여하고자 하였다. 선행연구에 대한 고찰을 통해 CPTED의 개념 과 기본적인 적용원리를 도출하였다. 구체적으로 CPTED의 구성요소로 자연적 접근통제, 자연적 감시, 영역성 강화, 활동성 증대와 유지관리를 선정하였으며, 범죄 두려움은 일반적 두려움과 구체적 두려움으로 나누어 고찰하였다. 연구방법으로 도시재생 지역에 거주하고 있는 아동들에 대한 심층면접을 통하여 CPTED와 범죄 두려움 인식의 문제점을 알아보고, 이에 대한 효과적인 구축방안에 대하여 살펴보았다. 연구결과 CPTED 구성요소에 대한 인식 중 순찰활동에 대한 인식이 부족한 것으로 나타났다. 두 번째로 연구대상자의 거주 지역에 따라 자연적 감시 정도에 차 이를 보이고 있었다. 세 번째로 범죄 제지와 관련된 CCTV에 대한 인식도 대상자들 에 따라 다르게 나타났다. 네 번째로 지역 내 공공시설들은 거주민들을 유인하는 수단이 부족하여 활동성 증대 측면이 낮게 나타났다. 마지막으로 범죄 두려움과 관련해서는 전체적으로 낮은 인식을 보이고 있었으나, 고학년 층과 범죄에 대한 교육 내지 경험을 가지고 있는 대상자들은 상대적으로 높은 인식 정도를 보이고 있었다. 이 연구에서는 이러한 연구결과에 근거하여 향후 CPTED와 활성화와 범죄 두려움 감소에 필요한 제언을 하였다.

This study aimed at showing the crime fear of children living in urban regeneration district and finding the way of the activation of CPTED and crime fear reduction. This study investigates the previous studies to summarize the concept of CPTED and its principles for proper application. Concretely Natural Surveillance, Natural Access Control, Territoriality Reinforcement, Activity Support and Maintenance and Management. Fear of crime is also examined separately general and specific fear of crime. This study examines the problem of perception about CPTED and crime fear and finds the effective ways through the interviews of children living in urban regeneration district. The researcher found the lack of perception about patrol among the elements of CPTED through this study. Second, there was a difference of natural observation degree by living area of subjects. Third, the perceptions about CCTV related with crime restraint differed by subjects. Fourth, residents don t use public facilities very much because of lack of motives. Lastly, there is little perception about crime fear in general while there is much perception about crime fear relatively in the high educationed and people experienced training once and more. On the basis of above study result, this study suggested some necessary ideas on the way of the activation of CPTED and crime fear reduction in the future.
