Meta-frontier SBM 모형을 이용한 우리나라 식자재 유통물류기업의 경영효율성 비교 분석

Analysis of the Management Efficiency of Food Material Distribution and Logistics Companies with Meta-frontier SBM Model

국내 식자재 유통산업은 기업형 업체의 점유율이 미미한 상태이고, 90%이상이 영세업체로 구성되어 있다. 그러나 전방산업인 식품 및 외식산업의 대형화, 식자재 가격경쟁력 요구, 식품안전에 대한 니즈, 무자료 거래의 양성화, 유통구조 단순화의 필요성 등의 이유로 국내 식자재 유통산업의 선진화 및 기업화가 진행될 것으로 전망되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 식자재 유통물류산업의 변화에 따라 식자재 유통물 류기업의 발전을 위한 전략 및 정책적 시사점을 도출하고자 식자재 유통물류기업의 경영효율성 분석을 진행하였다. 본 연구는 2009년부터 2013년까지 5개년의 공시된 회계자료를 이용하여 외국 식자재 유통기업 5개, 국내 식자재 유통기업 11개를 분석대상으로 선정하였다. 투입변수로는 매출원가와 판매비와관리비, 산출변수로는 매출액과 당기순이익을 선정하여 분석을 진행하였다. 이러한 자료를 활용하여, 국내외 식자재 유통기업들을 대상으로 메타 프론티어 분석을 통해 국내외 기업들의 기술격차 및 경영환경상의 차이는 없는지 분석하였고 그 효율성 점수 및 추세를 알아보았다. 본 연구 결과 도출된 시사점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 국내외 식자재 유통기업간의 기술격차 및 경영환경에는 차이가 없으며 둘째, 국내 식자재 유통기업의 효율성이 상대적으로 낮고 치열한 경쟁으로 인하여 감소하는 추세에 있다는 것이다. 또한 기술격차 및 경영환경의 차이를 의미하는 MTR 점수 또한 감소하는 추세에 있어 경영효율성을 증가시키기 위한 전략이 필요하다는 점이었다. 셋째, 기업 규모와 사업 형태에 따른 분석 결과 식자재 유통기업의 경우 수익성이 낮은 사업이기 때문에 규모의 경제를 이루어야 한다는 결론을 얻을 수 있었다. 넷째, 비효율성의 원인 분석을 통해서 국내 식자재 유통기업의 경우 매출액 측면의 비효율성이 상당히 존재하기 때문에 그에 적합한 경영전략을 연구해야 할 것이라는 점을 도출하였다.

The Objectives of this paper is to measure the efficiency of Korea’s food material distribution companies, and to compare the efficiency to that of foreign firms by Meta-frontier DEA-SBM. By the comparative analysis, we try to give implications for the development of Korea’s food distribution and logistics industry. With the 16 Korean and foreign companies’ time series data(2009-2013), this paper measures the efficiency of the these companies. Cost of sales, selling and administrative expenses are used as input variables, and sales and net sales are used as output variables. The results of this study are as following. First, there are no big differences in technology and business environment of Korea and other country in the food material distribution and logistics industry. Second, the efficiency of food distribution companies in Korea is lower than those in other country. So, they need to be increase the efficiency.
