초․중학교 학생들의 교양농업교육에 대한 인식과 관련 변인

The Perception and Related Variables of General Agricultural Education in Elementary⋅Middle School Students

이 연구는 초⋅중학교 학생들의 교양농업교육에 대한 인식과 관련 변인을 구명하기 위한 것으로써, 전국의 초⋅중학교 학생 중에서 유층화 군락 표집에 의하여 연구의 대상으로 선정된 360명에게 교양농업교육에 대한 인식 검사지와 교양농업교육과 관련된 교육환경에 대한 인식 검사지로 조사연구를 실시하였다. 초⋅중학교 학생들의 교양농업교육에 대한 인식은 지역 간에 따라 차이가 있었으며, 관련 변인과의 관계도 학교 급과 지역 간에 차이가 있었다. 또한 교양농업교육에 대한 인식의 관련 변인이 초⋅중학교 학생들의 교양농업교육 인식에 미치는 영향도 관련 변인 간에 차이가 있었으며, 학교 급과 지역 간에 차이가 있었다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 초⋅중학교 학생들을 위한 교양농업교육을 효율적으로 운영하기 위해서는 학교 급과 지역 간에 차이가 있는 것으로 나타나는 인식과 관련 변인을 고려한 체계적인 교육 계획이 전제되어야 하고, 이를 운영하는 교사들은 지도 능력 향상과 농업에 대한 인식 제고를 위한 연수 프로그램 등이 지원되어야 한다.

The purpose of the study was to find the perception and the related variables of the general agricultural education of elementary and middle school students. The sample of the study consisted of 360 elementary and middle school students in Korea according to stratified cluster sampling. The survey was composed of two parts, the perception of the general agricultural education and the perception of the educational environment. The perception of general agricultural education between elementary·middle school students appeared to vary by region (large cities, small cities and town, counties). The relationship of the related variables appeared to be differences in both regions and schools(elementary schools, middle schools). Another influence on the perception of general agricultural education according to the related variables appeared to be difference in regions and schools. Therefore general agricultural education for elementary and middle school students should be established with a systematic plan considering for differences in the perceptions and the related variables between schools and regions and teachers should be given training programs for the improvement of teaching abilities and perception on agriculture.
