다심(茶心) 설옥자의 정신이 구현된 다도 교육은 5가지의 덕목으로 정의할 수 있다. 다도를 통한 덕의 수양, 가족의 화목을 도모하고 초심의 순수함을 잃지 않도록 하며, 웃어른을 공경하는 마음으로 시작하여 벗과 함께 하는 즐거운 수련으로서의 다도교육을 강조하였다. 다심 설옥자의 다례는 생활다례와 접빈다례, 헌공다례와 창작예술다례로 분류한다. 생활다례는 일상생활에서 행해지는 다례로 편안하면서도 예절을 갖춘 찻자리를 의미한다. 다도를 처음 접하는 사람들의 입문과정으로, 차를 대하는 마음가짐과 찻자리에서의 행동예절을 배우는 시작단계이다. 접빈 다례는 나라의 중요한 대외적인 행사 때 행해졌던 다례이다. 생활다례가 현대인의 의식과 생활, 문화수준에 맞추어 생활에서 활용할 수 있도록 하였다면 접빈다례는 편리성보다는 접빈의식의 예절문화가 느껴지도록 행해야 한다. 차도구도 생활다례와는 격을 달리해 품격을 갖추어야 하고 다례를 행함에 있어서도 격식을 갖추어야 할 것이다. 헌공다례는 불교 차문화의 실천과 정립을 위한 의식다례이다. 의식다례(儀式茶禮)라함은 차례, 헌공다례 등으로 차를 바치는 대상을 높이 받드는 마음으로 격식을 갖추어 행하는 찻자리를 의미한다. 다심 설옥자는 평소 의식 다례의 중요성을 강조하였다. 재가 불자로서 헌공다례를 통한 선(禪)의 구현을 강조하였다. 창작예술다례에서는 예술적 심미안을 지닌 차인이 되도록 교육하였다. 다심 설옥자의 茶文化觀은 다도 정신의 구현은 물론 대내외적인 차문화 교류를 통한 국제적 차문화관을 정립하였고, 소통의 차문화를 구현하였다. 또한 문헌 연구를 통한 차문화의 계승과 발전에 기여하였고 저술 및 論文을 통해 차의 정신을 피력하였다.

Hospitable tea ceremony was placed when the country s major external events Life tea ceremony focusing modern life style, consciousness and the culture level, Hospitable tea ceremony focusing etiquette of hospitality culture. Offering Hospitable tea ceremony emphasized cultural etiquette rather than convenience. Using tea tools be more classy than Life tea ceremony s, also doing tea ceremony must be formal. Offering to buddha tea ceremony is ritual tea ceremony for the formulation and practice of Buddhist tea culture.
