『통합 사회』에서 정의론 교육에 대한 제언

Suggestion for education on theory of justice in Integrated Social Studies - Focusing on M. Sandel s theory of justice

본 연구의 목적은 2015 개정 교육과정 『통합 사회』에서 공동체주의 정의론에 관한 학습 내용 요소로서 샌델(M. Sandel)의 미덕(virtue) 정의론이 선정될 수 있는지를 고찰하는 데 있다. 연구의 주된 초점은 『통합 사회』의 성취기준 해설 ‘교수학습 및 유의사항’에 서술되어 있는 “학생들이 공동체주의를 집단주의로 이해하지 않도록 유의하여 지도한다.”는 조건에 맞추어져 있다. 결론적으로, 본 연구는 샌델의 미덕 정의론이 집단주의 논제를 극복하기에 충분한 근거를 가지고 있으며, 2009 개정 교육과정 『윤리와 사상』의 학습 내용 요소였던 왈쩌(M. Walzer)의 복합평등(complex equality) 정의론에 비해, 샌델의 정의론이 『통합 사회』의 공동체주의 정의론 교육으로 보다 적합함을 보이고자 한다.

The purpose of this study is to examine whether M. Sandel s theory of justice can be selected as a element of learning of communitarian theory of justice in the integrated social studies of the 2015 revised national curriculum. The main focus of the study is on the condition that students should be careful not to understand communitarianism as collectivism , which is described in the Explanatory Learning and Notes of the Achievement Standards of the Integrated Social studies . In conclusion, this study suggests that M. Sandel s theory of justice has sufficient grounds to overcome the collectivist thesis. Additionally this study is to justify that Sandel s theory of justice is more appropriate as a element of learning of communitarian theory of justice in the integrated social studies than the complex equality theory of M. Walzer, which was an element of learning of the 2009 revised national curriculum Ethics and Thought. .
