柳永의 小說化에 대한 고찰

Consideration on Novelization of Liu-Yong

宋初 詞人을 대표하는 柳永에 관해서는 筆記類·話本·擬話本에 걸친 다양한 문헌 속에 그 기록이 전한다. 그리고 각 시대별·문헌별로 유영은 풍류재자의 형상에서 세속적 인물로, 그리고 다시 고아한 문인의 형상으로 변화의 과정을 거쳤다. 이러한 흐름은 때로는 화본소설이라는 장르의 성격에 따라, 때로는 의화본소설을 쓴 작가의 창작의도에 따라 각기 다른 인물로 재탄생하였으며, 이는 단편백화소설의 성장과정과도 일면 맥을 같이 하고 있는 것으로 보인다. 화본소설 속 유영은 상당부분 세속적이고 희화되어서 시민계층의 심미관과 잘 들어맞는 소설 속 인물로 탄생하였다. 반면 의화본소설 속 유영은 화본과는 다른 고아한 문인의 형상으로 재탄생함은 물론, 독서본의 주 독자인 문인층의 심미관과 기호에 부합하는 문인화의 과정을 겪었다 할 만하다. 본고는 유영을 모티브로 한 여러 문헌들을 통해 유영이 중국 서사문학 속에서 어떤 모습으로 소설화되어 생명을 이어왔는지를 조명하고자 하였다.

Regarding Liu-Yong representing writers of Song Dynasty, his record is passed down in diversified literatures including Bi Ji Lei Novel , Hua Ben Novel , Yi Hua Ben Novel and he passed down transformation process as worldly character and then graceful writer form as gifted literary men by each times, literature. He was reborn as different character depending on the nature of genre called Hua Ben novel and sometimes creation intention of writer who wrote Yi Hua Ben Novel and this trend is in line with growth process of short colloquial style novel. Liu-Yong in Hua Ben novel was considerably worldly caricatured and born as a fictional character being well matched with aesthetic view of bourgeoisie. On the other hand, Liu-Yong in Yi Hua Ben Novel was reborn as graceful writer different from Hua Ben novel by passing through a process of becoming a writer complying with aesthetic view and preference of literary class that is main readers of reading edition. This study focused on how Liu-Yong was passed down by it being novelized in Chinese narrative literature through several literatures based on Liu-Yong as motive.
