태권도 전공생의 전공선택동기가 전공만족도 및 취업준비행동에 미치는 영향

The Effects of Major Selecting Motivation on Major Satisfaction and Career Preparation Behavior in Students of Taekwondo Studies

The purpose of this study is to examine how major selecting factors are associated with major satisfaction and career preparation behavior in undergraduates of taekwondo studies. To attain the goal, a survey was conducted to 256 students of taekwondo studies attending universities located in Seoul, Gyeonggi, or Cheonan. The data collected went through descriptive statistical analysis by using SPSS Ver. 22.0. Construct validity and reliability tests were done, and also, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were performed. The results are as follows: First, according to the results of analyzing correlation between major selecting motivation and major satisfaction in undergraduates of taekwondo studies, academic expertise and personal factors influence relationship satisfaction among the subareas of major satisfaction significantly. Recognition satisfaction is influenced by social recognition and personal factors positively. Social recognition satisfaction is influenced by academic expertise and personal factors significantly. Subject satisfaction is influenced by all the major selecting motivation factors, academic expertise, social recognition, and personal, experiential, and environmental factors significantly. Second, according to the results of analyzing correlation between major selecting motivation and career preparation behavior in undergraduates of taekwondo studies, academic expertise, social recognition, and experiential and environment factors influence positive career and job search significantly. Career preparation effort is influenced significantly by academic expertise only, and preliminary job search among the areas of career preparation behavior by social recognition only.
