Global food security is faced with challenges of poverty, lack of input, climate change and the unprecedentedly rapid growth in world’s population that will move from 7 to 9 billion by 2050. With the fast rate of population growth, Africa is expected to account for more than half of the world’s population growth between 2015 and 2050 (UN, 2015). Despite progress in improving global food security, emerging multiple burdens of hunger and malnutrition signify the gap that exist between food systems and hunger. Therefore, a rethinking of the global food system is urgently needed as thousands of people are dying every day because of hunger. This circumstance has also created opportunity for public and private investment for food and agricultural development. Cameroon has all the natural endowment required to achieve the level of sustainability in food and in many respects stands as a home for any investor who intends to improve on global food security while multiplying his benefits.
