그림책의 일러스트레이션 기법을 활용한 미술프로그램이 유아의 미술표현능력과 창의성에 미치는 효과

The Effects of Young Children s Art Program using Illustration Techniques of Picture Books on their Art Expressive Ability and Creativity

본 연구는 유아를 위한 그림책의 작가들이 그림책 안에서 사용한 다양한 일러스트레이션기법과 여러 가지 재료를 활용한 유아미술프로그램이 유아의 독특한 표현능력과 창의성 발현에 미치는 긍정적인 효과를 검증하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 유아 창의성과 미술표현능력에 대한 선행연구를 토대로 그림책의 일러스트레이션 기법을 활용한 유아미술프로그램을 개발하였다. 프로그램의 효과를 검증하기 위한 연구대상은 경상북도 K시에 위치한 A유치원의 만5세반 20명(실험집단)과 B유치원의 만5세반유아 20명(통제집단) 총40명이다. 유아의 미술 표현능력과 창의성 측정을 위해 각각이미혜(2009)의 연구에서 사용한 검사 도구와 전경원(2002)이 개발한 유아 종합 창의성 검사(K-CCTYC)를 사용하였다. 본 프로그램은 주 2회 총 14회의 실험 처치를 실시하였으며, 미술표현능력과 창의성의 효과 검증을 위해 사전·사후 검사를 실시하였다. 검사의 결과의 자료 분석은 SPSS 23 프로그램을 이용하여 공변량(ANCOVA)분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 그림책의 일러스트레이션 기법을 활용하여 새로운 작품을 산출해내는 미술활동 자체가 유아의 그림 표현능력과 창의성에 향상에 효과적임을 알 수 있었으며, 일러스트레이션 기법을 활용한 미술프로그램의 어떠한 요소들이 유아의 발달에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는지에 대해 논의되었다.

This study aims at verifying positive effects of a children s art program using illustration techniques of picture books on kindergarten children’s art expressive ability and creativity. For the goal of the study, an art program was designed to use various illustration techniques and materials used by illustrators in children’s picture books. The designed program was applied to 5-year-old children with 14 sessions for 14 weeks. For testing children s art expressive ability, instrument of art expressive ability used in Lee Meehye s(2009) research was applied. For testing creativity, Korean Comprehensive Creativity Test for Young Children(K-CCTYC) developed by Jun Kyung-won(2000) was used. In order to verify effects of the children s art program using illustration techniques of picture books on their art expressive ability and creativity, the pre-test and post-test were conducted and then test results were analyzed. This study proves that the designed art program using illustration techniques of picture books has good effects on improvements of children s art expressive abilities and creativity. Factors and detailed elements of the designed art program that influenced young children’s development are discussed. It is suggested that the designed art program be utilized as an effective media for early childhood art education in the field.
