순차적 경로 성장혼합모형을 활용한 청소년의 공동체 의식과 다문화 수용도의 잠재집단 간 관계 분석

Relationship between the Latent Class of Community Spirit and Multicultural Acceptance using the Sequential Process Growth Mixture Model

본 연구의 목적은 청소년의 공동체 의식과 다문화 수용도 변화에 따른 잠재집단별 특성을 파악하고 잠재집단 간의 관계 유형을 살펴보며, 어떤 개인 사회적 특성변인들이 청소년의 공동체 의식과 다문화 수용도의 잠재집단에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 지를 살펴보고자 함이다. 이를 위해 한국 아동 청소년 패널조사(KCYPS) 자료의 초등학교 5학년부터 중학교 3학년까지를 추적 조사한 초4자료 2차~6차년도 데이터를 잠재집단 분석과 순차적 경로 성장혼합모형을 활용해 분석하였다. 분석결과, 초등학교와 중학교 학교급에 따라 공동체 의식과 다문화 수용도의 잠재집단 간 다른 변화양상이 나타났으며, 공동체 의식이 시간이 지남에 따라 어떠한 변화 형태를 보이는지에 따라 다문화 수용도가 증가되는 집단 또는 감소하는 집단으로 상반된 관련성을갖는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 공동체 의식과 다문화 수용도를 향상시키기 위한 학교급에 따른 차별화 된 방안 수립과 변화 양상에 따른 잠재집단 간 집단특성 맞춤형 프로그램 및 교육과정 구성 및 제공이 필요함을 의미한다. 또한 이러한 집단에서는 학생들이 맺고 있는 다양한 인간관계가 공동체 의식과 다문화 수용도에 유의한 영향을 미치고 있다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 학교급에 따라 변화양상 집단별,학생과 부모, 친구, 교사와의 긍정적인 관계 형성을 유지해준다면 학생들의 공동체 의식과 다문화 수용도의 긍정적 변화를 기대해 볼 수 있을 것이다.

The purpose of this paper was to analyze the characteristics of latent classes according to the changes in the community spirit and multicultural acceptance of youth and to examine the types of relation among latent classes. This study examined the effects of personal and social characteristics on the formation of latent class of youth community spirit and multicultural acceptance. To do this, the sequential process growth mixture model was adapted to korean children and youth panel survey(KCYPS) data, from Wave Ⅱ (5th grade) to Wave Ⅵ (9th grade). Based on the results of the analysis, there was a difference between the community spirit and multicultural acceptance according to the school level. And according to the change of community spirit over time, multicultural acceptance increased or decreased. This means that it is necessary to establish differentiated plans according to the school level to improve community spirit and multicultural acceptance. Also, it means that it is necessary to construct and provide customized programs and curriculum for latent class characteristics according to change patterns in community spirit. In addition, in these classes it was confirmed that the various human relationships that students make have a significant impact on community spirit and multicultural acceptance. Therefore, if the student maintains a positive relationship with parents, friends, and teachers, positive changes in the community spirit and multicultural accptance of students will be expected.
