A Study on the Life History of Middle-aged Female Teachers in a Elementary School

이 연구는 초등학교 평교사로서 생활하는 가운데 ‘교사로서 어떻게 그동안 살아왔는가?’와 ‘어떠한 여가 및 학습경험을 하고 있는가?’, ‘내 삶의 여가 및 학습경험이 학생들에게 어떤 영향을 미치는가?’라는 질문을 통해 교직생활을 회고해 보고 교사로 서의 중년 여교사 3인이 구술한 교직 경험을 생애사적으로 분석하여 여교사들에게서 나타나는 공통적인 여가 및 학습경험의 양상을 탐색하였다. 자료수집 기간은 2016년 4월말부터 동년 11월초까지였다. 연구결과, 연구 참여자들은 첫째, 진로결정 시 가족 및 가족과 연결된 주변의 인물들에 의해 교직을 선택하게 되었고 둘째, 여성의 발달 단계 상의 생애 사건인 결혼 및 출산, 자녀 양육 경험을 통해 학생들에 대한관점이 심화되었고 셋째, 교직에 대한 만족감을 충전시키기 위하여 여가 및 학습경 험을 지속적으로 추구하고 있으며 넷째, 여가 및 학습경험으로 사회적 감수성을 발달시켜 학생들에게 끊임없는 열정을 쏟고 있는 것으로 드러났다.

This study aims to look back the teaching profession life and confirm meaning of experiences toward developing the professionality, Amid living as a elementary common teachers, through question : ‘How did they spend their life?’ ‘How did they go through leisure & learning experiences?’ ‘How did their leisure & learning experiences have an impact on the their students?’ Thus, three middle-aged female teachers, having more than 20-year career, were dictated career. So, three teachers’ experiences were made a life history approach analysis. Aspects of common leisure & learning experiences were searched. Research periods was from April to November. As a results, first, when middle-aged female teachers choosed job, they falled under the influence family & those around connected them. Second, views on their students deepened through their marriages & children & children nurse experiences of female developmental level. Third, pursue their leisure & learning experiences continuedly for recharing of a job satisfaction. Forth, turns out pouring constant passion toward thire students when social sensitivity grows through leisure & learning experiences.
