In this paper, the writer investigated the needs of the times raising competency-based education and verified the directing points of the competency-based education. Second, this paper examined what Christian competencies in accordance with the Christian worldview should look like. Third, it inspected whether Christian universities can accept the key competencies suggested by the competency-based education in these days. Lastly, it proposed several principles to the curriculum development fortifying Christian competencies. One of the significant contributions of the competency-based education is to rightly accentuate the fact that the competencies should be remained in the students as the educational outcome. The competencies which the competency-based education want to cultivate in the students do not need to be rejected by the Christian educators. It is essential, however, in the fields of Christian education that the competencies should be used in accordance with the Christian world-view by the Christian students. To build up the Christian students who are able to use the competencies in accordance with the Christian worldview depends on the Christian educators who can teach the curriculum based on the biblical world-view and apply the contents of the curriculum to their students’ real life situations. Therefore, the Christian educators are the most responsible persons in maintaining the Christian identity of the Christian universities
