최근 범죄 발생에 따른 안전한 삶에 대한 사회적 관심이 증가하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 CPTED 및 SBD의 효과성 연구에 대한 선행연구 고찰을 통하여 국내 적용되고 있는 CPTED기법에 대한 효과성을 고찰하였다. CPTED의 적용의 효과는 범죄율 감소, 범죄 두려움감소, 지가상승, 자가보유율 증가, 이웃관계 증진등이 있다. 또한 지방자치단체의 CPTED기법 적용 의무화 조례 발표는 범죄율 감소에 효과가 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 단점으로는 CPTED 기접 적용에 따른 경제적 부담, 공동주택 단지 발생 범죄가 노상범죄, 옥외주차장 범죄 등으로 범죄 발생장소가 다른 공간으로 전이되는 특징이 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구의 한계로는 국내외 선행연구를 통하여 CPTED 및 SBD의 효과성에 대하여 고찰한 것에 있다. 향후 국내 CPTED에 관한 효과성연구가 범죄 및 범죄 두려움에 대한 실증적인 검증이 필요한 것으로 분석되었다.
In this study, through review of previous study on the effectiveness of CPTED & SBD, the effectiveness of CPTED method has been reviewed. The effect of applying CPTED method may be stated crime rate decrease, fear of crime decrease, land price increase, ratio of self possession increase, improving neighborhood relation etc. Also, the announcement of mandatory application of CPTED method by the district government analyzed to be effective in decreasing crime rate. As being a demerit of CPTED method application analyzed to be economic burden, transfer of crime area such as crime in community housing zone transferred to road crime or outside parking lot crime etc. The limitation of this study may be stated that through previous study of domestic or foreign the effectiveness of CPTED & SBD had been reviewed already. It is analyzed to be necessary to execute actual verification to crime or fear to crime regarding effectiveness study of domestic CPTED research.
