전교어린이회 선거활동 참여가 정치효능감에 미치는 영향

The effects of experience in a student council election on political efficacy

본 연구는 전교어린이회 선거 참여 경험이 청소년들의 정치효능감에 미치는 영향을 알아보고, 이것이 사회과 선거교육에 시사하는 바를 밝히고자 하였다. 이를 위해 2017.3.20.∼4.10일까지 서울에 위치한 Y초등학교 5, 6학년 총 52명을 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 전교어린이회 선거 활동에 참여한 학생들의 내적 정치효능감이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 사전에 정치에 대한 관심이 높은 학생일수록 내적 정치효능감이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 다만 성별은 내적 정치효능감에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않았다. 둘째, 사전에 정치에 대한 관심이 높은 학생일수록 외적 정치효능감이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 전교어린이회 선거 참여 여부, 성별은 외적 정치효능감에 별다른 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 내적 정치효능감과 외적 정치효능감의 합인 전체적 정치효능감은 선거 활동 참여 여부 및 사전 정치관심도와 유의한 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 성별은 전체적 정치효능감에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않았다

The purpose of this study is to investigate effects of experience of elementary students in a student council election on political efficacy. For this purpose, this research surveyed 52 elementary student from 5th grade to 6th grade. The following is the result of multiple regression analysis. First, experience of student council election and having high political interests showed a significant positive correlation with internal political efficacy, whereas grade didn t show it. Second, high political interests showed a significant positive correlation with external political efficacy, whereas experience of student council election and grade didn t show it. Third, experience of student council election and having high political interests showed a significant positive correlation with general political efficacy, whereas grade didn t show it.
