논증기제를 활용한 번역평가

Translation Assessment Based on Argumentation Parameters

This study attempts the application and its practicability of translation quality assessment (TQA) based on argumentation parameters to the students translation assignments. The most prevalent orthodox of TQA theories and practices can be found in their inherent ‘subjectivity and restricted ‘applicability . To overcome these shortcomings and to warrant the consensus of assessment grids, the writer considered the tertium comparationis as the argumentation elements and factors of source texts and their authors. Some positive presumptions are set up: a) while argumentation TQA model needs some complex and tiresome process, it can be dedicated to establishment of an effective translation strategy and to improve writing skills and techniques for students. b) It can be help to self-assessment of professional translators translation results because it has obvious and straightforward evaluation elements. Against the rosy premises, William s TQA reveals many disadvantages: a) obscurity and vagueness of TQA parameters boundary and limit of application, b) complexity of ST analysis procedure, c) low effectiveness and fragmentary error analysis comparing high effort and time-consuming process d) necessity of separation of literary and non-literary TQA parameter, and of simplicity and flexibility of evaluation items, elements and others.
