This paper aims to analyse readers translation criticism on published books, which is observed more and more frequently nowadays in Korea, using concept and models of translation norms. Contents of readers translation criticism were categorized into six norms : overall attitude, relatedness to source text, target text effectiveness, background knowledge, ethical norm and policy norm. From each norm 2 to 12 sub-categories were acquired. Among them comprehension of words and expressions(relatedness to ST), restructuring words and expressions(TT effectiveness), politeness(TT effectiveness), editors ethics(ethical norm) and choosing translators(policy norm) were noticeable. Readers translation criticism reveals which opinion and expectation readers have, one of the important, but until now neglected participants of the translation process. So subsequent studies are seriously demanded.
