상호작용적 글쓰기가 유아의 자모지식과 쓰기 발달에 미치는 영향

The effects of interactive writing on young children’s Korean alphabet knowledge and writing development

본 연구는 상호작용적 글쓰기가 유아의 자모지식과 쓰기 발달에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 서울시 K유치원에 재원중인 만 4세반 2학급의 유아 50명을 대상으로, 실험집단 25명(남 14명, 여 11명)과 비교집단 25명(남 14명, 여 11 명)으로 구성하였다. 실험집단은 개별이나 소집단 별로 상호작용적 글쓰기 활동을 통해 자모지식과 원리를 이해하고 글자, 단어, 문장쓰기를 실시하였고, 비교집단은 생활주제에 따라 유치원에서 이루어지는 언어활동을 실시하였다. 연구결과 상호작 용적 글쓰기는 유아의 자모지식을 증진시켰으며, 자모지식 중에서 자·모음 쓰기, 자· 모음 소리 재인, 자·모음 이름 회상, 자·모음 암송에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 또한 상호작용적 글쓰기는 유아의 쓰기 발달을 증진시켰다. 따라서 상호작용적 글쓰기는 유아의 자모지식과 쓰기 발달을 증진시키는데 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 볼수 있다.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of interactive writing on young children’s Korean alphabet knowledge and writing development. Two classes comprised of 50 children at the age of four in a private kindergarten located in the S-gu, Seoul were chosen as subjects for this research. One experimental group and one control group were formed each with 25 children. The experimental group participated as an individual or in small groups in interactive writing to comprehend the knowledge and fundamentals of the Korean alphabet. Furthermore, they not only formed Korean letters, but also formed words and sentences. On the other hand, the control group engaged in language activities with topics that were provided by the kindergarten. The results of this study are summarized in the following. First, interactive writing enhanced the Korean alphabet knowledge of young children. Among the Korean alphabet knowledge, significant differences were present for writing vowels and consonants, recognizing the sound of vowels and consonants, recalling the names of vowels and consonants, and reciting of vowels and consonants of the Korean alphabet. Second, interactive writing enhanced the development of young children’s writing. In conclusion, interactive writing had a positive effect on enhancing young children’s Korean alphabet knowledge and writing development.
