2015 개정 미술과 교육과정에 따른 중학교 미술교육 지원 방안

A Study on the Support Methods for Reinforcing Middle School Art Education Based on 2015 Revised National Art Curriculum

본 연구는 2015 개정 미술과 교육과정의 적용을 앞둔 시점에서 미술 문화 향유 능력 제고를 위한 중학교 미술교육 지원 방안을 제공하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 ‘미술 문화 향유 능력’의 개념을 2015 개정 미술과 교육과정의 미술 교과 역량 및 문화 역량과 관련된 문헌을 통해 탐색하였다. 그리고 ‘미술 문화 향유 능력’의 개념에 기초하여 3개의 중학교 미술 교육 우수 사례를 선정하고, 각 사례별로 미술 교사와 학교장을 대상으로 심층 면담조사를 실시하였다. 사례 분석을 위해 학교 교육과정및 교사의 수업 지도안 분석, 3차례의 반구조화 집단면담, 온라인 및 전화 면담 내용을 전사한 자료를 활용하였다. 면담 조사는 2016년 8월～9월까지 실시하였고, 면담 전사 자료에 대해서 미술교육 사례의 사실적 기록을 중심으로 한 사례 내 분석과 핵심 주제를 밝혀내는 사례 간 분석을 병행하였다. 사례 분석을 토대로 도출된 중학교 미술교육 강화 요인에는 첫째, 미술 문화 향유에 기반한 미술교육 철학, 둘째, 미술 문화 향유를 위한 미술과 교육과정 재구성, 셋째, 학생의 삶과 연계한 미술 수업, 넷째, 미술교육 역량 계발을 위한 노력, 마지막으로, 지역의 인력 및 시설의 효과적 활용 등으로 밝혀졌으며, 인적 자원 및 물적 자원의 측면에서 제도적 지원이 필요함을 제안하였다.

This study aimed to explore the support methods for enhancing ‘students’ competencies for enjoyment of art culture’ at the time of application of the 2015 revised national art curriculum. For the purpose of the study, it first examined the concept of ‘competencies for enjoyment of art culture’ by investigating literatures related to 2015 revised national art curriculum and cultural competencies. Then it analyzed reinforcing factors for middle school arts education by conducting a case study. For this, three cases of middle school arts education were selected as exemplary practices. The informants included professional art teachers and principals of the three schools. The data were gathered through investigating teachers’ documents related to art education practices, semi-structured group interviews of three times, and online and telephone interviews. Data analysis was conducted based upon both factual records of the art education cases and meanings derived from the cases that reveal the core themes. Reliability was achieved through triangulation, peer researcher confirmation, informant confirmation, and exceptional case review. As a result, the factors for reinforcing middle school art education were drawn as follows: First, art teachers’ art education philosophy was based on enhancing student’s competencies for enjoyment of art culture. Second, art teachers have a great efforts on professional development. Third, art teaching and learning practices of art teachers were focused on enhancing students’ competencies for enjoyment of art culture by connecting art learning with students’ lives, Fourth, art teachers have utilized local human resources and facilities for cultivating students’ competencies for enjoying art culture. Last, art teachers have developed their own art curriculum for enhancing students’ competencies for enjoyment of art culture. The study suggested that institutional support for middle school art education is required in terms of human resources and material resources.
