대학생의 직업윤리 인식에 대한 탐색적 연구: 포토보이스(Photovoice)를 활용하여

An Exploratory Study on University Students’ Perception of Vocational Ethics: Using photovoice

직업윤리의 중요성이 요구되는 우리 사회에 직업인으로서 준비가 필요한 대학생 들을 대상으로 한 직업윤리에 대한 연구와 논의는 미흡한 현실이다. 이에 본 연구는 대학생들이 경험한 직업윤리에 대한 인식을 탐색적으로 알아봄으로써 대학사회에서 진로교육이 직업윤리를 어떤 내용으로 어떻게 담아내야 하는지 그 방향을 제시하고자 한다. 연구방법은 연구참여자의 자발적 참여와 실행 과정에서 교육적 효과가 높은 포토보이스 방법론을 활용하였고，A대학교 8명의 대학생을 대상으로 연구하였 다. 참여 학생들의 마인드맵기법을 통해 표현된 직업윤리의 키워드는 차별과 평등, 기업윤리와 경영윤리, 도덕성과 인성 등의 각 영역에서 다양하게 제시되었다. 포토 보이스를 통해 분석된 직업윤리의 의미는 사회적 역할과 소명을 다하는 것, 도덕성과 양심을 지키는 것, 편견을 갖지 않는 것, 오랜 시간 만들어지고 발전하는 것 등으로 나타났다. 참여 대학생들이 비윤리적인 상황에서 결정한 행동은 선택을 위한 갈등, 자기성찰과 인내, 상대방에 대한 이해와 소통 등으로 드러났다. 마지막 직업윤리를 지키기 위한 방안으로 공동체로서의 책임감, 윤리적 가치관(직업가치, 신뢰, 양심) 등으로 나타났다. 분석된 연구결과를 바탕으로 대학생 직업윤리 교육에 대한 대학사 회의 제언과 한계, 포토보이스 활용 방안의 교육적 시사점을 제시하였다.

This study investigates how vocational ethics can be perceived by university students who need to be prepared as professionals in the age when the importance of vocational ethics is required. This study used the photovoice methodology which has a great educational effect in the voluntary participation and execution process of the research participants, and the participants were eight university students attending A university. The keywords of vocational ethics revealed through the mind map technique of participating students was variously presented in each area such as equality and discrimination, enterprise ethics and management ethics, morality and personality, etc. The meaning of vocational ethics analyzed through photovoice was found to be fulfilling social roles and calling, maintaining morality and conscience, not having prejudice, and being made and developed for a long time. The behaviors determined by unethical situations of participating university students were revealed as conflict, self‐reflection and perseverance for choice, and understanding and communication of the other party. As a way to protect last vocational ethics, responsibility as a community and ethical values (job value, trust, conscience) appeared. Based on the results, this study suggested the practical suggestions and limitations of the college society about vocational ethics education for university students and the educational implications of utilizing photovoice.
