교육복지에 대한 주요일간지 사설 분석

Analysis of Editorials of Major Daily Newspapers on Education and Welfare

이 연구의 목적은 교육복지에 대한 국내 5대 일간지의 이해도와 입장을 파악하여 교육복지의 논의방향을 탐색하는데 있다. 이를 위해 누리과정과 무상급식이 쟁점이 되었던 2014년 말에 5대 일간지(조선, 중앙, 동아, 한겨레, 경향)에 게재된 교육복지관련 사설내용을 대상으로 내용 분석과 텍스트 네트워크 분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 주류 언론의 교육복지에 대한 개념정립과 이해도가 부족한 것으로 나타났으며, 신문의 성향에 따라 주장의 내용요소가 다른 것을 알 수 있었다. 이 연구는 교육복지의 ‘실천 방향 설정’에 앞서 교육복지에 대한 ‘사회적 개념정의’가 필요하다는 근거를 제시하였다.

The aim of this study is to explore the direction of discussion about education & welfare by grasping the understanding and position of the 5 domestic major daily newspapers in relation to education & welfare. For this purpose, this study conducted contents analysis and text network analysis targeting editorial contents related to education & welfare printed by the 5 domestic major daily newspapers(Chosun, Chungang, Dong-A, Hangyeoreh, and Kyunghyang) at the end of 2014 when Nuri Curriculum and Free School Meals became the issue. As a result of the research, it was found that the mainstream media were deficient in their concept establishment and understanding of education and welfare, and according to a newspaper tendency, the content elements in argument differed from each other. This study suggested the grounds for necessity of ‘Social Concept Definition’ of education and welfare before setting the implementation direction of education & welfare
