From Literacy to Creativity: Using Graded Readers in Primary Teaching

In order for children to be creative, they need ideas. In order to express ideas in speaking and writing, they need language. One way to develop both of these is through the integration of graded readers with your primary English programme. In this workshop, you will re-discover the contribution that children’s literature can make to creativity and language growth. You will learn how graded readers can be used across courses and individual lessons and how they can be used to develop all-round language development. You will also observe and take part in a selection of fun and involving activities that are easy-to-use, adaptable and focused on learning and creativity.
