Analysis of the Warehouse Arson Occurring at Midnight on Holiday

휴일 심야에 발생하여 전소되어 붕괴된 섬유원사 보관 창고 화재에 대해 다음과 같이 분석하였다. 첫째, 화재발생 후 14.5개월이 경과한 시점에 창고 통로 바닥의 발굴을 통해 이 화재사건은 창고 통로에 인화성물질을 살포한 후 방화하였다. 둘째, 무인경비시스템 감지기 작동 상황 검토를 통해 통신선로를 절단하여 무인경비시스템을 무력화한 직후 방화하였다. 셋째, 방화 이외에 발화원이 될 만한 것으로 전기시설, 화기취급, 담뱃불, 자연발화 등을 들 수 있는데 이들 원인이 모두 배제될 수 있다.

This study analyzed a yarn warehouse fire that broke out at midnight on holiday. The warehouse was entirely destroyed and fell down. First, the digging of the warehouse aisle floor 14.5 months after the fire revealed that the fire was caused by spraying inflammable liquid into the warehouse aisle. Second, the working situation of a SECOM (security system) sensor was examined and it was found that the fire occurred immediately after cutting a communication line and disabling a security sensor. Third, origins other than arson may include electric equipment, the use of fire handling, cigarette, and spontaneous combustion but all of these can be excluded.
