장애인의 고용상태의 변화가 생활만족도에 미치는 영향

A Study of Employment Status Change on Life Satisfaction of the Disabled

본 연구는 장애인의 고용상태의 변화에 따라 생활만족도가 어떻게 달라지는지를 종단적으로 분석을 수행하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 한국장애인고용공단 산하의 장애인고용개발원에서 배포한 제3차에서 제8차 장애인고용패널자료에 제공한 성인 장애인 2,770명을 추출하여 분석에 활용하였다. 방법론적으로는 SPSS를 활용하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 현재 고용상태인 경우, 고용을 유지한 경우와 고용상태로 변화된 경우가 생활만족도를 향상시키는 요인으로 나타났다. 둘째, 현재 미고용상태의 경우, 미고용상태로 전환한 경우와 미고용상태를 지속적으로 유지한 경우가 생활만족도를 낮추는 요인으로 나타났다. 이와같은 연구결과를 토대로, 성인 장애인의 고용유지와 고용상태로의 변화를 위한 방안제시를 통해 생활만족도를 높일 수 있는 함의를 제언하였다.

The objective of this study was to examine the influence of employment status change of persons with disabilities on life satisfaction by a longitudinal study. For the study, 2,770 data, which was extracted from the 3rd wave to 8th wave panel data provided at Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled were utilized. To analyze the data, in terms of methodology, SPSS program was used. The results were summarized as follows: (1) In case of being employed: two cases that were having been employed and changing from ‘unemployment’ to ‘employment’ status positively influenced on life satisfaction. (2) In case of being unemployed: two cases that were having been unemployed and changing from ‘employment’ to ‘unemployment’ negatively influenced on life satisfaction. Based on these results, this study suggests some implications to improve life satisfaction of persons with disabilities by improving employment retention and increasing change to employment.
