온라인 디지털 불법복제 단속이 불법복제 의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

온라인상에서 유통되는 디지털콘텐츠의 불법적인 유통 환경 하에서는 디지털콘텐츠 산업의 경쟁력을 확보하기 어려우며 성장에 큰 장애가 될 것으로 전망된다. 이러한 온라인디지털콘텐츠 불법복제를 방지하기 위한 여러 가지 대응이 필요한 이 시점에서 본 연구는 불법복제 행동에 영향을 미치는 요인을 보완된 계획된 행동이론(TPB; Theory of Planned Behavior)을 통해 단속을 통한 노력이 개인의 인식제고에 어떠한 영향을 미치며 이러한 결과 불법복제 행동에는 어떠한 결과를 가져오는지 알아보고자 했다. 이 연구의 공헌점은 기존TPB모형의 외생변수를 확장하여 최근 온라인디지털콘텐츠 불법복제의 대응책으로 시행되고 있는 단속이 구체적으로 온라인디지털콘텐츠 불법복제를 하려는 사용자들의 주관적 규범과 태도에 어떻게 영향을미치는 지 검증을 시도한 것이다. 연구결과로는 기존 TPB모형은 온라인디지털콘텐츠 영역에서도 잘 설명되는 것으로 검증 되었으며 추가한 불법복제 과거경험도 주관적 규범과 태도, 행동용이성에 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 이전 연구들과 동일한 결과가 나타났다. 단속의 실천적 신념과 규범 공정성, 확실성이 태도와 주관적 규범에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

The Internet provides an incredible simplification and cost reduction of digital contents distribution. Although many researches have been conducted for the online user behavior, there have been few studies on the digital contents piracy issues. In order to understand the behavior of digital contents piracy, this paper conducts empirical research for the purpose of ethical decision making. This paper uses the theory of planned behavior(TPB) as a framework in an attempt to determine factors that influence digital contents piracy on online. The TPB model is frequently used for research on ethical decision making and, futhermore, a lot of empirical studies have been conducted using the TBT model to explain the piracy behavior. This study is important because it will identify the individual propensity(i.e., behavioral beliefs and norm fairness, certainty) that may reduce an individual’s ability to see the inhibiting factors of engaging in digital piracy. Furthermore, it will implicate the factors that may reduce the instances of digital piracy in deterrent policy nowadays. The final research model is built with the adding of social learning theory based on the TPB Model. Two hundred ninety three data were collected and structural equation modelling was used to test 22 hypotheses. The results show that, first, the TPB model is very useful in explaining the digital piracy on line. Attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavior are all significantly affected by the intention of digital piracy. In deterrence behavioral beliefs and norm fairness, certainty is affected by the attitude and subjective norm.
