판소리계 소설 「심청전」 을 활용한 한국어 문화교육 방안 연구

Korean language and cultural education using Pansori-inspired novel, the tale of Shim-chung -Study on Chinese Learners of Korean.

The present study reviews the educational effectiveness of classic novels in Korean language education using the Pansori-inspired novel, the Tale of Shim-chung. Korean language education using literature has been spotlighted recently. Literature is one of the best means to understand the cultural perspective of Korea as it encompasses the life of Korean people and the background. The motif of classic literature reflects Korean traditional culture and helps learners understand the general perspectives of Korean culture. In the light of its educational values, this study proposes utilizing Korean classic literature for Korean cultural education The introduction and the following section will discuss the educational value of Pansori-inspired Korean classic novels. Section 3 explores the cultural values of Pansori-inspired novel, the Tale of Shim-chung, and discusses how to use it for the second language education. Finally, a scene in the novel will be used to illustrate a sample curriculum of Korean-literature-based language and cultural education.
