The purpose of this paper is to suggest the method of improvement of Korean teacher professionalism in Taiwan. The Korean language teaching in Taiwan has become more popular. But the condition of Korean teaching has a serious problem in teacher resources and professionalism. Under the influence of the Korean Wave(Hallyu), it has expanded Korean language education. After early 2000’s the scope of Korean language education in Taiwan has been enlarged exclusively. However, a lake of Korean teacher professionalism is very serious in Taiwan. And also the research on Korean language education remains at basic level. For further development of the Korean teacher professionalism, a close survey and research for its educational status is essential. In this paper, I report the present state of the Korean education in Taiwan with focus on teacher problems. And then I analyse problems for the improvement of Korean teacher professionalism and suggest the way to go.
