Korean language education in Kazakhstan.

In Central Asia there are 26 universities, where offering Korean language courses. The first specialist in Korean language in Kazakhstan was a professor of the University of Helsinki Mr. Ko Song Mu. His appearance revived interest to Korean Studies, generate interest in learning the language, history and culture of the Soviet Koreans. Despite marked progress in the preparation of specialists in Korean Studies in Kazakhstan, there are still many unresolved problems in teaching Korean language. There remains the question of professional training of teachers, development of teaching materials, and the development of multimedia sources. To solve these problems and improve teaching Korean language is necessary: 1) to coordinate the efforts of specialists in Korean Studies, representatives of various universities to create training manuals tailored to local educational programs; 2) to create electronic multimedia tutorial database developed by various universities in Korea; 3) International Association of Teachers of Korean Language will play a role as a coordination center.
