도커 컨테이너 가^화를 이용한 버전 관리

Version Control Using Docker Container Virtualization

버전 관리 시스템은 규모가 큰 소프트웨어 개발 프로젝트에서 매우 유용한 도구로 ス 1•용되고 있다. 그러나 대부 분의 기존 버전 관리 시스템들(SVN. Git 등)은 소스 코드 혹은 문서의 변경 이력을 주로 관리하고 있기 때문에 개발환경의 변경 이력은 개발자가 직접 관리해야 하는 불편함이 있다. 이러한 불편함을 해소하기 위하여 본 논문에 서는 도커 컨테이너 가상화를 이용하여 소스 코드 혹은 문서는 물론 개발환경도 보다 쉽게 관리할 수 있는 버전 관리 방법을 제시한다. 리눅스(우분투 12.04)에서 도커를 구축하여 제시한 방법의 기능적 타당성을 검토한다.

The Version Control Systems have been used as a very useful tool in the large scale software development project. However, since most of conventional Version Control Systems (SVN, Git, etc.) control mainly the history of modifications in source codes or documents, it is inconvenient for each developer to manage directly the history of modifications in development environments. To overcome this inconvenience, we present a scheme of Version Control that can control development environments as well as source codes and documents by using Docker Container Virtualization. We set up the Docker on the Linux(Ubuntu 12.0.4) and reviewed the functional appropriateness of the presented scheme.
