미술수업을 통한 진로지도 방안 연구

A Study on Career Guidance Plans through Art Lessons

본 연구는 통합, 융합이 교육의 키워드가 되고 있는 요즘, 진로와 직업, 사회, 생활과 윤리, 기술가정 4개 교과의 진로에 대한 내용을 통합하여 미술 수업을 통해 진로지도를 할 수 있는 방안을 연구하였다. 미술이 가진 여러 주제와 사고를 아우르는 융합 적 힘을 통해 학생들의 인생에서 가장 중요하지만 어려운 진로에 대한 고민을 미술 작품제작을 통해 해결하고자 한다. ‘2036년 미래 매거진’이라는 한 권의 잡지를 제작하기 위한 프로젝트 수업형식이다. 수업의 흐름은 첫 번째, 인포그래픽을 활용한 ‘미래사회보고서’ 사회면 기사 쓰기, 두 번째, 미래사회에 필요한 가치관을 가진 인물을 찾아보는 ‘표지모델을 찾아라’라는 주제로 잡지 표지 디자인하기, 세 번째, ‘나 이런 사람이야’는 주제로 미래 자화상이 들어간 미래 나의 인터뷰 기사 쓰기, 네 번째, ‘난 미래의 광고주’ 라는 주제로 본인 직업과 관련된 지면 광고 제작하기의 총 4가지 소주제로 진행된다. 본 연구를 통해 현 입시풍토의 한국 학교 문화에서 고등학교 미술 교과가 단순히 미술을 전공할 학생들만 중요하게 생각하는 교과가 아니라 모든 학습자들을 위한 미술교과가 되는데 보탬이 되었으면 한다. 미술교과가 가진 본질적인 가치를 잃지 않고 다른 교과와의 융합을 통해 앞으로 지속적으로 연구가 계속 이루어져야 할 것이다.

Reflecting the key words of education including integration and fusion these days, this study set out to investigate career guidance plans through art lessons by integrating four subjects, Career and Jobs, Social Studies, Life and Ethics, and Technology and Home Economics, on the content about career. It would address the most important and yet difficult contemplations over career in the life of students through the fusion power of encompassing various topics and ideas of art by having the students make a piece of art themselves. Total 30 lessons were given to 150 tenth-grade girls from five classes from March to June, 2016. Those lessons were in the project lesson format to make a single magazine titled Magazine for the Future of 2036 under total four small topics. The findings of the present study will hopefully contribute to the art subject for all students rather than only for the ones that will specialize in art in high school in the current college entrance exam-focused school culture of Korea. They are also expected to inspire ongoing researches to preserve the intrinsic value of art subject and promote its fusion with other subjects.
