광산란 방법에 의한 Sodium Dodecly Sulfate 미셀의 크기에 대한 연구

A study on the size in sodium dodecly sulfate micelle by dynamic light scattering

The mean gyration radii, Ṛg of elongated micelles of sodium dodecyl surfate(SDS) were measured using angular dissymmetry of the dynamically scattered light. The measurements were performed at low NaCl concentration(0.05M)and high NaCl concentration(0.30M) at temperatures, 25°C, 30°C and 40°C. The measured Ṛg values dissymmetry, (d(θ)) versus the cosθ of the pure SDS micelle was spherical with the effective radius of 37.5A at 40°C. the SDS micelles in electrolyte solution were found to be thin rod-like between 130A and 390A in length, and flexible bended rod-like between 600A and 680A in length, as the temperature is liwered from 40°C to 25°C. As a result, the non-rigid SDS micelles transform gradually from sphere via prolate ellipsoid to thin rod-like and flexible bended rod-like micelles as the electrolyte are added and the temperature is lowered.
