최근 급격히 늘어나고 있는 성범죄와 강력 범죄를 대처하기 위하여 택시 범죄 예방과 관련된 다양한 서비스들이 요구되고 있다. 이러한 요구에 따라 본 논문에서는 스마트 폰을 이용한 NFC 기반의 택시 범죄 예방 시스템을 제시 한다. 제시한 시스템은 택시에 부착된 NFC 태그. 택시 이용자의 스마트폰, 그리고 등록된 택시 정보를 관리하는 서버로 구성된다. 택시 이용자는 스마트폰을 이용하여 가까운 위치의 빈 택시를 조회하여 선택적으로 호출할 수있으며 자신의 탑승 상황을 예약된 연락처(지인 혹은 경찰서)에게 실시간으로 알려줌으로써 택시 범죄 예방 효과를 기대할 수 있다.
