The purpose of this study was to develop and apply the tea-culture therapy program for the generational integration to prevent intergenerational severance arising from the crisis of an aging society and bring about a positive change in life satisfaction. The developed program targeted 11 elderly people of S Senior Citizen Welfare Center at P city. The tea-culture therapy program for the generation integration was composed of 8 sessions, once a week. Each 90 minute session consisted of an introduction for 10 minutes, intervention activity for 70 minutes, and impression sharing and rapping up for 10 minutes. The effect analysis of the developed tea-culture therapy program revealed a slight improvements in the life satisfaction average score of the participants after the program to 27. 82(SD 2.14) compared to 26.46(SD 2.46) before the program. This shows the participants enhanced their life satisfaction level up to statistically meaningful 1.36 scores between pre and post program(Z=-4.892**, P=-001). In addition, the participants reported that their health condition and sociality improved through knowing and drinking tea, and they could easily follow the activity and derived a great deal of enjoyment when learning the tea ceremony because the program was based on the traditional and familiar tea culture. In addition, they mentioned that they felt a sense of pride and vitality for being able to pass on the traditional tea culture and etiquette to their children. Therefore, the results show that the generation integration tea-culture therapy program is effective in enhancing elderly people’s life satisfaction.
