A study on the Arrangement Characteristics of Community Space and Facilities in Multiple Dwelling Housing - In case of Cheonan city -

This study is aims to analyze the arrangement characteristics o f community space & facilities multiple dwelling housing in Cheonan city, focusing on the characteristics o f community space location, the connection o f community space with a housing and the community space in ground level with piloti. As a result, this study shows that they have more network with separate circulation system than mixed it. The arrangement of them are surveyed that C.F. has specific arrangement patterns with C.S. such as C.F.(community center) vs C.S.(plaza), C.S.(child playground) vs C.S.(plaza). C.F.(community center) & C.S.(plaza) usually are adjacent to the pedestrian street. In the unit housing, community space in ground floor with piloti are normally located in a node o f pedestrian, an area between clusters and a parking area. In conclusion, we got some planning implications o f community space and facilities. Firstly, they need to be planned arranged to the high hierarchy pedestrian rather than low it. Secondly, community center should be closely placed in a housing. Thirdly, community space of ground floor with piloti should be more organically planned with community facilities.
