A Virtual 3D Reconstructing Korean Historical Builaings form Photographs and Documentations in 1930 s

The aim of this research project is to reconstruct 3D virtual models of Korean Historical Buildings from. 1.920 s to 1940;s in order to provide the digital contents focused on the disappeared Korean Modern Architecture in 193(Vs. In this paper, digital reconstruction processes related to the virtual recoristfuction are discussed based on the commercial 3d modeling applications which adopt the photogrammetry, a imagedbased modeling technology. This imaged-based virtual construction of no-longer existent buildings deals with the extraction of architectural dimension data from images o f 〈Architecture and Chosun>, the architectural magazine in 1930 s. The contribution of this research aims at a traceable virtual 3d modeling data being of the importance for subsequent use and following-up work of both researchers and non-experts.
